Its that time of year again! Now in its 55yr and as popular as ever Rose of Tralee International Festival always reminds us of the end of the summer when hits our screens. Corks current Senior Camogie Captain Anna Geary (and let us not forget Bikram yoga enthusiast) has the honor to be chosen as the 2014 Cork Rose. The 26 years old marketing professional from Milford Co Cork has many string to her bow a passion for sport, love of fashion, food, dancing as well as enjoying the challenge of Bikram Yoga. Anna reveals how Bikram Yoga has helped her on the lead up to the Rose of Tralee. “The very first question I was asked when I sat down with the judges for the Cork Rose in the individual interview was, “Now, tell us about this Bikram yoga! Usually they ease you into it with a question about your family or work but mine was about BYC!” Anna has been coming to class since June 2013 and last Summer took part in the RTE documentary ‘Skin in the Game’ which offered a unique insight into 4 inter-county stars lives their sacrifices and how playing for their county impacts on their everyday lives after which the blonde beauty received national attention.
“Bikram is going to be in my bio in Tralee as well. I am just such a huge enthusiast. Ideally I want to be doing it at least twice a week in the run up to the competition.
